Regional Champion

                Mathematics is my passion. I’ve been dreaming of becoming an engineer someday. Not only I but my parents and relatives want me to be a successful engineer one day. They always say that it's for my own good for my future.

                In the field of mathematics, there are a lot of competitions that you can compete. One of the most popular math competitions is the Metrobank MTAP-Challenge which is sponsored by the Metrobank. When I’m a second year student, I compete in the said competition with Marian Carmella Calanasan and Honey Rose Toledo together with our coach, Mrs. Louisa Bondad. In the elimination round, wherein the top 10 schools who got the highest scores will be participating in the second round, we got the second place. In the MTAP Oral-Written round where there is the easy (2 pts. each correct answers), average (3pts.) and difficult round (5 pts.), our school, Dizon High, and the San Pablo City Science High School was tied after the three rounds, so we took the clincher round, after the three questions, we won the Division Oral-Written and we will be competing for the regional.
          We have only three days to review for the competitions because our coach was too busy. In the day of the competition, we’re so nervous because we didn’t have enough time to review. In the easy round, our score is low, so we thought that we’ll lose this competition. But we didn’t lose hope, we strengthen ourselves and promised to have perfect scores in average and difficult round to recoup, we thought we’re in second place but one proctor came to us and said we’re the champion. We take a look again to the scoreboard and it’s true, we won! We’re happy! Our coach was happy for us! We did it!
          At the announcing of winners, we’re proud to be a Dizonian and a product of San Pablo City.
